Malaga with a toddler 0-3 years

Visit the beach - The top of the list of things to do in Málaga with a toddler is of course the beach. Fun for children of all ages, whether you are young and in Malaga you are spoiled for choice for a place to relax while your child rotates on the sand. Two beaches in Malaga have blue flag status (La Malagueta and La Misericordia), and they are both close to the center so within walking distance.

Play in the park - Another activity on our list of good things to do with a toddler in Málaga is to visit a playground. There are many scattered around the city. A playground located near the recommended hotels is Plaza De Las Cofradías. Other exciting playgrounds in the center of Malaga can be Parque San Miguel or Parque de Malaga.

Malaga with children between 4-10 years

Visit one of the three water parks in Malaga - A visit to one of them is popular with both residents and holidaymakers, and makes a wonderful day out for the whole family. There are three water parks that fall within Malaga's provincial borders.

Aquavelis in Torre del Mar (30min taxi - 36km east)

Aqualand in Torremolinos (15min taxi - 16km west)

Aquamijas i Mijas (25min taxi - 32km west)

Although there is something similar in design and prices, they vary in who they attract. Aquavelis is very family-oriented and tends to be far more 'Spanish' than Aqualand or Aquamijas - both of which attract many more foreign tourists during the summer months. For prices, opening hours and attractions see the links above.

Museo Interactivo de la Música - This counts as one of the best things to do for children in Málaga because this is a museum where you can touch practically everything. Play all the instruments , try to conduct and create some notes on the violin. The museum displays over 400 instruments from different countries, cultures and periods with recorded sound clips. They also exhibit a number of instruments for rehearsals, such as. violin, didgeridoo, drum kit or cello.

A trip to Sea Life Benalmadena - Sea Life Benalmadena is the largest aquarium on the 'Costa del Sol'. Sea Life Benalmadena can be found in the port of Malaga. In the aquarium you can find tanks with the most diverse fish species. From beautifully colored clownfish to dangerous reef sharks and from graceful swimming turtles to seahorses. In addition to the fish and sea creatures, part of the aquarium is dedicated to life at sea with exhibited fishing tools and ships.

Malaga with older children from 10 years

Take them on a Segway - Add some adrenaline and excitement to the list of things to do for children in Málaga, and take them on a Segway ride through Malaga. Wide open pedestrian streets and flat terrain make Malaga perfect for using the segway to explore the city. Several companies offer Segway tours, but choose some with good equipment, which follow the safety measures and have good reviews. We recommend TopSegway .

Experience speed and excitement with "Go Karting Malaga" - With 840 meters of track length with a minimum width of 8 meters, this track, designed especially for group races, will put you in the shoes of a real Formula 1 driver. You can compete against other rivals or against your own record. For the youngest we also have two-seater maps and a children's track. At all times you will be supervised by a specialized team that will help and instruct you, so you can focus on having fun!
